Cobble Beach at Yaquina Head
Nothing like a stormy day on the Central Oregon Coast when the tides out! Cobble Beach at the Yaquina Natural Area is a sight – and sound – to behold. The “beach sand” consists of 1 to 3 inch cobbles, and the surf constantly rolls them, making a unique sound. Tide pools are abundant, and there are often BLM guides to point out wildlife, and keep people from getting stranded on the rocks as the tide comes in!
